My system has dual Ultra X-Connect 2 550w Power Supplies and pulls just 520 watts (including both supplies) at full load and overclocked with vCore at 1.8 w/ a X6800. The extra PSU powers the 7900GTXs, lights and a pair of hard drives.

Get a good 600-800w PSU max. Cooler Master has been very reliable for us on our system builds for the last couple years. Enermax and PC Power and Cooling also have great if not better, more expensive PSUs.

If you want the best PSU you can get, pick up the Koolance 1200W Liquid-Cooled PSU. Rock solid in all of our testing, very efficient, and powers all of our world record attempts. The downside is that it's pretty darn expensive. But then again you'll never have to buy a new PSU for a the next ~3 years. That is if they change the connectors, but hopefully koolance will provide new cables to allow for the different format. wink. Extending it's useful lifetime to actual component failure.
