And the thread annoucing the contest:
Get those mods done! ($1,500 Cash prize by CPU Mag!)
This just in... $1,500 CASH prize to the first place winner @ PDXLAN 10
PLUS!
Your mod on the front cover of CPU mag.
Now, to all contestants:
1. The criteria has been posted on this site since PDXLAN 9 - make sure you review it. (Under the main website > Info > PDXLAN 10 (our next event) > Contests)
2. Whining is not permitted. If you enter this contest you ACCEPT the ruling of the CPU magazine judges. PERIOD.
3. This contest is sponsored by CPU mag for 1st place only. There are no prizes for 2nd and 3rd - only honorable mentions. If you can not accept that, do not enter.
4. Judging will be done by CPU MAG since it is their cash being given to the winner. ANY CASE IN THE ROOM IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN. If a DD case is chosen, then it is. If a Intel rig is chosen, so be it, if a staff case is chosen, so be it. Again, their contest, their choice.
The only reasons I mention the above is because I know there are always those who are upset by the rulings from the judges. This contest is very personal to those who judge it, so yes, their personal tastes influence their decisions. We all need to accept that. Please do not take this as me upset - take it as a tournament is run at PDXLAN - from them we expect professionalism - now to you the modders, we expect the same.
Now, may the best mod (In the judges eyes) win.
