a soon-to-be deaf computer i guess
every now and then my computer loses all sound, most of the time it's while i'm playing games like F.E.A.R. or Halo Custom Edition but now even basic video streaming on the web causes it to lose sound, the only methods i found that turn the sound back on are shutting it down, restarting, or switching to standby and reactivating it. what may be the possible issue that has befallen this poor man's gaming rig? lol
in case it's a mobo issue, all i know about it is it's a northwood 478 socket.
