Re: Need ur help for Newegg LAN Oct 5-7
I just came up with a new design for the case, how about the front, right (I/O side) and rear 1 piece of carbon fiber 9" tall.
Than a piece of smoke plastic for the top that wraps down the left side (where the intake for the Rad is) with 2 holes cut in it to put my Silenx fans in (to cool the memory, chipset and GPU memories.
no one seems to care about my iMON so I leave that out and concentrate on kick butt OCing instead.
the mobo tray will be vented to cool off the back of the mobo, the PS will be moved to the back and the front of the case under the mobo 2 WD 160gig 16mb Cache Hdds in Raid0 and DVD.
Tommorrow (wed) the mobo, CPU and memory should be here so I can make the mobo tray.

Re: Need ur help for Newegg LAN Oct 5-7
the rad will be mounted to the bottom of the mobo tray and have a shroud (like the last version).
but the air intake side will be behind the smoke plastic, I was thinking of painting it and lighting it as well.

May I recommend a all aluminum rad from our dearest, they are so small and thin, plus they dissipate so much damn heat.

Re: Need ur help for Newegg LAN Oct 5-7
Its the rad I used in all the CrossFlow comps. I got the idea from you guys and the Koolance web site. I figured alum was better also in keeping the weight down.
The other big + is being able to mount the pump directly to it.

Re: Need ur help for Newegg LAN Oct 5-7
OK I got the new comp running in the old case for now and cooling it with a Zalman 9500.
I have it close to 3100Mhz and the stupid Visa score is 5.4 (stock was 5.2)
First should I be using Vista?
Second should I care what the Vista score is in the first place? (all my other stuff is 5.9 (Hdds GPU and such))
I wanted to get the new hardware up and running asap as usually I wait till the last day and it sucks.
Im using a Biostar Tforce 570, FX-62, Dual 8600GTs in SLI, 2 WD 160Gig Hdds in Raid0 and the 400 watt NorthQ PS (12V rails are steady at 12.1V)

Re: Need ur help for Newegg LAN Oct 5-7
I would really recommend using XP for higher overclocks, unless you skimp down your vista, but everything is a lot more comfortable for overclocking with xp.
