vista, it has a wow factor. Maybe a dual boot? if you hardware overclock via bios vista won't hinder a stable overclock, and it wont help you acheive a world record stable overclock it will just hinder a very very high overclock.

Vista may have the WOW factor but if it makes my comp crash it sucks. The worst part is I actually PAID for it  At least i didnt register it yet so I can set it in the closet and wait till SP1.
It is just so fast to install (less than 8min)
Ok back to work, time to get started on this case. |

I figured out the crashing thing. It crashed a bunch of times with XP as well. I Had the sata hdds running on #1 and #3. When I switched them over to #1 and #2 no more crashes.
I just realized I will in no way make it to Neweggs Lan (still trying to get caught up from PDX10)
I will try to make it to PDX11 though.

I ran my comp with the 8600GTs and got 15,671 on 3DMark05, its around 9-10K in 3DMark06.
What do I need to do to bump it up? (besides get 8800 Ultras, lol) I am running the Zalman 9500 and stock GPU fans so far.
My FX-62
3038 Mhz (14 X 217)
1.45V
Memory 434Mhz
4-4-4-12 1T at 2.1V
GPUs stock @1600Mhz

I would def recommend overclocking your video cards. Try to use nTune, and if that does work, there is a thread on how to overclock your sli setup on our forums. I am checking on what kind of oc's peeps get with that proc atm.

water, ati tool, time. Thats all you need bud. if you want to take your 05/06 score higher than ocing you gpu would really be the only option.
