Re: Temps in Hellmouth
Travis u wanna give me some reasonable place to start for OCing with the Striker and QX6700 on phase? U think a multi or FSB OC? What Vcore? I know the EVGA 680i ate it up but I have not fingered an Asus Striker Extreme before . . .

Re: Temps in Hellmouth
The QX6700 really liked the Multiplier overclocking, and the CPU should enjoy 1.6 Vcore on phase.
with the B3 revision it usually will hold 4GHz as long as the phase unit is tuned enough for the load.
on the Asus boards i usually leave the memory timings on auto.
Ill get my Striker up and running on my phase unit and see what other BIOS settings are best.

Re: Temps in Hellmouth
Try a 15X multi bu increasing your multi by 1 each reboot until you get to 15.
or by increasing your FSB to 400MHz (1600MHz Effective)
do this by bumping your FSB in these increments:
266MHz-300MHz, 300MHz-333MHz, 333MHz-400MHz.
and I believe your FSB Termination voltage should not go over 1.4v could be as low as 1.3v but on my QX6700 ES if it was above 1.3 it did not like 4000MHz
your CPU could require a different FSB Termination voltage tho.

Re: Temps in Hellmouth
yep i didnt notice the diffrence john. Make sure you adjust dram voltage to handle whatever freqency your running it at. Probly going to end up being about 2.3 or so with that ocz cooler on it.
