finaly finished my W/C

hi,

i finaly did it here are some shots:

the specs:
Koolance EHX-1050BK x2
Koolance CPU-330
Koolance CHC-120 x2
Koolance VID-282 x2
Koolance PMP-400 x2
Swiftech Micro Reservoir x2
Fluid XP+ Ultra (Blood Red)
Tygon Tubes

i had to mod the top of my case to let the tubes in from there

i have 2 loops and they are:
1- CPU: pump->cpu->rad->res

2- NB SB 8800 ultras: pump->NB->1st ultra->SB->2nd ultra->rad->res
------------------------------------

i have a Question, i feel that my temps are allitle high for a only cpu loop and with that radiator, on stock its 35c idle and prime95 load for 1 minute it gets to 57c, and when overclocked to 3.41Mhz it idles at 41c-46c and prime 95 for 1 minute gets me to 83c-85c, does that seem right to you? or did i do something wrong?

Re: finaly finished my W/C

that is way outta whack . . .CPU needs to be reset. Are the mofsets keeping the CPU block from mounting firm on the CPU? Take the CPU block off and take pics so we can see the TIM and how it spread.

Also, are you sure you have flow thru the CPU loop? You sure that pump is working?

Re: finaly finished my W/C

no the mosfets are not interfering anything, here is a photo to make sure:

i took of the block:

and applied AS5:

and there was no deference in the temps and i tried to run prime for 3 minutes and look at the result:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Untitled-3.jpg

i dont know if i expected that much or is it suppose to be like this? i mean when i had the CoolIT Freezone i had better temps and when i payed extra for this setup i thought i would get better temps than before but maybe i was hoping too much?!

if not please advise me

Re: finaly finished my W/C

dude that is an insane amount of AS5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you are getting no cpu contact . . .clean it ALL off and apply a SMALL bead the half the size of a pencil eraser onto the cpu, then smooth it out evenly and THIN. DO NOT GET IT ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE CPU as it is highly conductive. A better approach is to use Ceramique which is made by the same company but is non-conductive.

Re: finaly finished my W/C

that thermal paste is extremely thick, I have a Q6600 right here w/ a Koolance 330 block and im pulling 20c idle 32c load.

Try using a razer blade to smooth out the thermal paste into an ultra thin layer.

also the best thermal paste to use on a water cooling setup is Arctic Silver Ceramique. Arctic Silver 5 takes for ever to cure on water blocks, AS5 is designed for air coolers where the vibration cures the paste over 200 operating hours and drops the temp by 12c. Ceramique does not need to cure.

Oh and I must say that is one sexy system!

Re: finaly finished my W/C

that is still not good . . .I think the cpu block is still not making good enough contact.
