Re: markklebs new short Tower Mod...
The big diff is this is an old PS so no 4 pin for CPU power, 20 pin for mobo and no sata cables.
Better get the soldering iron out.
Here is what the PS looks like mounted

I have one of the modded Silenx fans for exhaust on the backside of the mobo.
Hats off to Rosewill for the PS in the front idea, its a really nice way to clean up the wiring and keep the case pretty short.
(notice the 20 wires to the mobo are only about 3" away, much better than a 2' pigtail)

This ought to be a lot of fun, hope it works. As usual I am cutting it real close.
I decided to throw in my iMON Ultra and picked up a Sata DVD drive.
I think I have all the H20 figured out and will be using the Thermalright Chipset cooler with Silenx fan from my CrossFlow Extreme comp.
I am going to take it to my Bros house in Calif Thurs so he can take the 1min video for me (my $20 camera sucks) Than il post it on U-Tube.

Re: markklebs new short Tower Mod...
I know I am older (and therefor supposed to have elevated levels of common sense) but the iMON is just plain COOL!
First it adds a display on the front, second it adds a bunch of extra buttons (who dosent like extra buttons, lol) and best of all it allows ur comp to be run by remote.
Ok il stop babbling, back to soldering...

Re: markklebs new short Tower Mod...
I wish it had a dock for my iPod......NOT. Anyway the remote thing is really cool, maybe you could make it to when you hit a button on the remote, a panel slides up or a display turns on, something theatrical you know

Re: markklebs new short Tower Mod...
This comp is gonna have plenty of lights, lol...
The iMON display is cool as you can have it scroll any message you want. It even lets you control the size and font.

Re: markklebs new short Tower Mod...
OK, had some good luck today. Here is what I got so far. notice the Hdds mounted on the backside of the mobo tray. Also the 80mm fan is the exhaust for the PS.
Here is a shot showing the inside

Notice the Green mobo LED is on (SWEET!!!! no smoke of sparks)
